Many times I have questioned myself, what does it mean to be an artist. A painter, a musician, an actor etc. Who are we and what do we contribute to this world. Well after a chain of events created by me I have discovered my answer. And by that I mean what I see the answer to be, as someone else may have their own point of view on this matter, and so this is all it is, my point of view. Why are we artists? We do we get excluded from society as something strange and weird; well that’s because we are. I believe that what it means to be an artist is to feel things and see things that nobody else can. We have strong emotions as human beings hidden deep down inside of us that it is almost unreal, people can’t except them or believe they exist. So what we do is that we search from them, we look further and grasp them out from the center of our soul and place it in a tangible form of which other people can easily grasp and feel, we place our lives, our feelings out there so people can connect cause as humans all we every strife for is to connect to another human. As a price as being able to present such things to other people you have to give up you. Realize that you will feel things and do a thing that sometimes nobody will ever understand you take the risk of being misunderstood and that’s what happens most of the time. Misunderstanding, because people can’t see the world you see it.  I guess that’s why when people say they listen to music or go to the movies they escape reality but I don’t think they escape it at all, I just think if we do our job right we find that feeling that’s hidden inside of them and bring it out, so really they are just feeling more comfortable in this world, in their own skin because they are finding themselves. How do you think we come up with stories, melodies, lyrics and poems, pictures and images that are so simple and yet complex. Why is that we can move a life-force to feel? That’s because we seek out these feelings into which we are all connected by. We train ourselves as true artists to be sensitive to what moves around us, be it logic or belief in the universe giving back to us what we put out there, there is never a true explanation but discovery of what seems to be unrealistic is in fact real because we can make it real. So I guess in conclusion in my own quote:

“As artists we find those hidden desires and emotions that we all feel and pull it out in a tangible form such as pictures, movies, music etc so it’s easy for others to reach and connect to, in exchange we feel and see things that perhaps no one can understand causing us to be misunderstood, but I believe it is a fair trade. You for someone else.”
